Annberly Nancy Chiarella, born on December 1, 1980, was a woman of strength and determination. She was born to Vicky (Whetzel) Barnett and the late Fred Whetzel in Shenandoah County, Virginia. Annberly was a woman of many roles – a daughter, a wife, a mother, a sister, and an aunt. She was married to Joseph Chiarella Jr. for 15 years, and they were blessed with two children, Annalise and Joey.
A Soldier at Heart
Annberly was not just a family woman; she was also a soldier. After graduating from Central High School in 1999, she joined the U.S. Army. Her first duty assignment took her to Hawaii, and her unit spent a year in Afghanistan. She was a non-commissioned officer and received her Jumpmaster wings at Ft Campbell. She also played International Women’s Football for the Clarksville Fox as a linebacker.
A Servant of the People
After her time in the Army, Annberly pursued her goal of becoming a dental hygienist. She excelled in her role and touched many lives with her servant attitude. She was a firm believer in Christ and made many trips overseas for mission purposes. She also volunteered at home with the Christian dental mobile clinic.
