The Life of Bloody Mary
Bloody Mary, whose real name was Rajni Faulks, was an American rapper born on July 21, 1970, in Steubenville, Ohio. She later moved to Compton, California, where she became affiliated with the Avenue Piru Gang and had strong ties with the East Side Fruit Town Piru Gang. She was best known for being a member of the Bloods & Crips musical project and was the only female member of the group. She appeared on the single and music video for “Piru Love”, which brought her to wider national attention.
The Career of Bloody Mary
In 1994, due to her success as a member of the Bloods & Crips, she released her first and only solo studio album, “She’s Dangerous”. Following financial issues with her record label, Dangerous Records, she left both the label and the Bloods & Crips group. In 1996, she teamed up with close friend DJ King Assassin and featured on his album, “Hitworks, Volume One”, after appearing on his partly-produced compilation “Strictly for the Streets: A Compilation About Game” the previous year. In 2003, Dangerous Records released a Bloody Mary compilation album, “Day of Resurrection”, which features her Bloods & Crips appearances and songs from her album in addition to unreleased songs.

On November 18, 2006, Faulks was riding her motorcycle in Compton when she was hit by a fast truck driven by a man involved in a police chase. As a result, she was placed into a braindead state and her life support was subsequently pulled for only one day later. Her lungs were crushed, her hips were crushed, and she had swelling of her brain and numerous other injuries. This tragic incident marked the end of the life of a talented rapper who had made a significant impact on the hip-hop scene.
