She was the sister of the Saudi businessman Adnan Khashoggi and the aunt of the political journalist Jamal Khashoggi. She was also the first wife of Egyptian businessman Mohamed Al-Fayed and the mother of Dodi Fayed, who was romantically involved with Princess Diana.
