A Successful Career in College Basketball
Dylan Talley was born on December 28, 1989, in Camden, New Jersey. He started his college basketball career at Binghamton University in 2009, where he averaged 11.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game as a freshman. He was named the America East Rookie of the Year and earned a spot on the conference’s all-rookie team.
After transferring to Blinn College in Texas, Talley became one of the top junior college players in the nation. He ranked sixth in the country with 23 points per game on 49 percent shooting, while also contributing 5.9 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. He received honorable mention All-America honors and was recruited by several Division I programs.
Talley chose to play for Nebraska in 2011, joining coach Doc Sadler’s team. He played two seasons for the Cornhuskers, averaging 8.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game as a junior, and 13.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game as a senior. After graduating from Nebraska in 2013, Talley pursued a professional career overseas.
