Alexander Bradley Cause of Death: What Happened to Aaron Hernandez’s Former Friend?

Alexander Bradley was a key witness in the trial of Aaron Hernandez, the former NFL star who was convicted of murder and later committed suicide in prison. Bradley and Hernandez were once close friends, but their relationship turned sour after a series of violent incidents. Bradley accused Hernandez of shooting him in the face, leaving him blind in one eye, and testified against him in the 2012 double homicide case. But what happened to Bradley after the trial? How did he die and what was the cause of his death?

The Shooting in Florida

According to Bradley, he and Hernandez were in Miami in February 2013, when Hernandez became angry at him for mentioning the 2012 double homicide, which Hernandez allegedly committed in Boston. Bradley claimed that Hernandez shot him in the face while they were in a car, and then dumped him in an alley. Bradley survived the shooting, but lost his right eye and suffered severe facial injuries. He did not report the incident to the police, but instead filed a civil lawsuit against Hernandez, seeking damages for his medical expenses and emotional distress.

The Testimony in Boston

In 2017, Bradley agreed to testify against Hernandez in the 2012 double homicide trial, in exchange for immunity from prosecution. He was the prosecution’s star witness, and the only one who directly implicated Hernandez in the killings of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado, two immigrants from Cape Verde who were shot in a drive-by shooting. Bradley said that Hernandez ordered him to pull up next to the victims’ car, and then fired multiple shots into it, killing them instantly. Bradley said that Hernandez was angry at de Abreu for spilling a drink on him at a nightclub earlier that night.

However, the defense argued that Bradley was the actual shooter, and that he was lying to frame Hernandez for the crime. They pointed out the inconsistencies and contradictions in Bradley’s testimony, and his criminal history as a drug dealer and a felon. They also presented evidence that Bradley was shot in a drug deal gone wrong, and not by Hernandez. The jury ultimately acquitted Hernandez of the double homicide, but found him guilty of illegal possession of a firearm.

The Death in Connecticut

In June 2019, Bradley was shot again, this time in Connecticut, where he was living at the time. According to reports, Bradley was shot three times on the leg by Leslie Randolph after the two had a disagreement over money. In response to this, Bradley opened fire on the front of the Vevo Lounge on Meadow Street. Both the acts were caught on surveillance footage.

Bradley was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a firearm, criminal use of a firearm, reckless endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm, stealing a firearm and obliterated serial number. He pleaded not guilty and was released on a $1 million bond. He was scheduled to appear in court on July 16, 2019.

However, Bradley never made it to his court date. He was found dead in his home on July 8, 2019, just eight days before his hearing. The cause of his death was not immediately revealed, but the police said that it was not a homicide. They did not rule out the possibility of suicide, overdose, or natural causes.

The Mystery of His Death

The death of Alexander Bradley remains a mystery, as the official cause of his death has not been publicly disclosed. According to his lawyer, Robert Pickering, Bradley had been suffering from health issues related to his previous shootings, and had been in and out of the hospital. He also said that Bradley had been trying to turn his life around, and had been working as a truck driver.

However, some people have speculated that Bradley’s death was not accidental, but rather a result of foul play. They have suggested that Bradley may have been killed by someone who wanted to silence him, or who had a grudge against him. Some have even pointed the finger at Hernandez’s associates, who may have wanted to avenge his death. Hernandez himself died by suicide in 2017, while serving a life sentence for the murder of Odin Lloyd.

The truth about Alexander Bradley’s cause of death may never be known, but his story remains a tragic and twisted tale of friendship, betrayal, and violence. Bradley was a key figure in the saga of Aaron Hernandez, the fallen football star who shocked the world with his crimes and his suicide. Bradley’s death marks the end of a chapter in this dark and disturbing story.
