Uzumaki posted on Instagram that Tommy identified as a Black trans woman, and that the family had filed a missing person report. Uzumaki also asked for help from the public to find Tommy, saying “Share, repost, go crazy, please. I’m on my knees praying you’re OK, I love you so much. I can’t wait to archive this post and this nightmare is over.”
Tommy’s little sister, Jaela, also posted on Instagram, pleading for any information about Tommy’s whereabouts. She said that Tommy had been struggling with depression for the past three years, and that they had recently moved to New York to pursue their dreams. She also said that Tommy had a child who needed them. “Please if anyone knows anything please contact me or my family,” Jaela wrote. “We just want our baby back home safe.”

Upon arrival, the officers found an unconscious adult male on the northbound subway tracks. The emergency medical services (EMS) pronounced him dead at the scene. The person was later identified as Tommy Playboy.
