Hunt Cable Cause of Death: A Tragic Loss for the Tech Community

Hunt Denniston Cable, a young and talented associate project manager at Red Hat Software in Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023, at the age of 30. His death was announced by his family, who said he died after a brief illness. The cause of his death has not been disclosed yet.

A Passionate and Charismatic Professional

Hunt Cable was born in Tampa, Florida, on July 21, 1992, to David Ray Cable and Kathryn Ann Wabol. He attended Cleveland Court for elementary school and Lawton Chiles for middle school in Lakeland, Florida. He graduated from All Saints Academy in 2010, where he was active in sports and extracurricular activities. He was named homecoming king and Mr. All-Saints for his gregarious personality.

Hunt went on to study strategic communications at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina, where he was an active member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He also worked as an admissions tour guide for four years and held a leadership role over the program in his senior year. He was known for his charisma and his love for his university.

After graduating from college, Hunt joined Red Hat Software, a leading provider of open source solutions for enterprise customers. He worked there for eight years, receiving several promotions and holding different roles in the events, legal, and IT departments. He was passionate about his work and made a positive impact on the company and its clients.

A Loving Fiancé and a Devoted Dog-Dad

Hunt found his greatest love in Liz Bargamian, whom he met in the summer of 2018. He proposed to her in November 2022 and they were planning to get married in July 2023. Hunt and Liz shared many interests and hobbies, such as traveling, watching movies, listening to music, and attending sporting events.

Hunt was also a proud dog-dad to his black Labrador retriever, Walter Jameis Cable. He loved taking him for walks, playing with him, and spoiling him with treats. Walter was Hunt’s loyal companion and best friend.

A Friend to All

Hunt was a friend to all who knew him. He had an amazing ability to make people feel comfortable and valued. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, offer a word of encouragement, or crack a joke. He had a contagious smile and a warm heart.

Hunt was passionate about sports, especially Tampa Bay teams such as the Lightning, the Buccaneers, and the Rays. He also followed English Premier League soccer and was a season ticket holder for the North Carolina Courage and North Carolina FC soccer teams. He enjoyed staying fit and healthy by attending F45 classes regularly.

Hunt was also a music enthusiast who traveled up the East Coast to see his favorite artists such as Dead & Company, Coldplay, and Jimmy Buffett. He had a diverse taste in music and appreciated different genres and styles.

A Life Cut Short

Hunt’s sudden death has left a huge void in the lives of his family, friends, colleagues, and community. He touched many hearts with his kindness, generosity, humor, and spirit. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life service was held on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Raleigh. The service was livestreamed for those who could not attend in person. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lightning Foundation, the SPCA of Wake County, the SPCA of Brevard, or Candlelighters of Brevard, according to his obituary.
